Bhubaneswar, Nov 14 (UNI) Low cost air carrier Deccan has introduced Mobile Fly (M-Fly), a mobile phone based service to book tickets from any place in the country.
A press release issued here today said the booking technology, the first initiative of its kind through SMS mechanism is being developed in association with Oxigen.
On registering online with Deccan on www.airdeccan.net, customers will get a four digit password through SMS from the airline after which the customer could pay by cash at any outlet by buying an Oxigen Virtual Card or get an automatic e-top up.
The system will be quite handy for frequent fliers on Low Cost Carriers.
This will be a substitute to the Global Distribution System (GDS) and the Computerised Reservation System (CRS).
Moreover, the booking mechanism will be direct from B to C (Business to Customer) instead of the intermediary travel agents, Business to Business module, the release said.
