Mumbai, Nov 14 (UNI) Prices of key metals like copper wire bars, aluminium ingots and lead ingots ruled better on strong advice from London Metal Exchange (LME) along with Kolkata, Delhi and other centres today but nickel cathode and zinc slab declined on thin industrial users demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.
In the ferrous category (per quintal), Copper heavy, copper utensils and Brass cuttings remained unchanged on moderate industrial users demand, due to sufficient arrivals of stocks from Kolkata, Delhi and other centres.
In the non-ferrous segment (per quintal), Copper wire bars, aluminium ingots and lead ingots were up by Rs 300, Rs 100 and Rs 100 respectively on sustained fresh demand from big dealers induced by firm advice from LME, along with Kolkata, Delhi and others. Tin slab also gained by Rs two per kg on scattered buying support from dealers.
However, zinc slab and nickel cathode declined by Rs 100 per quintal and Rs ten per kg respectively on lack of fresh industrial users demand induced by weaker advice from Kolkata, Delhi and others.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals - Copper heavy: Rs 34,000, Copper utensils: Rs 31,200, Brass utensils: Rs 24,800, Brass cuttings: Rs 25,900 and Aluminium utensils: Rs 10,800.
