New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) A CISF Constable was today detained after he was found 'roaming' at Shanti Van, Jawaharlal Nehru's memorial, where VIPs like President Pratibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi were to pay their respects on his birth anniversary this morning.

Malkit Singh, who was in plain clothes, was taken to the Daryaganj police station and questioned for half an hour before he was released, the police said.

While 'roaming' near the venue, Singh was 'rounded up' by the security personnel looking after the Prime Minister's security.

Though posted at Shanti Van, Singh was not on duty at that time nor was he supposed to be there they said.

CISF spokesman later said it was some confusion which led to the detention. ''He was carrying a valid invitation card,'' he added.
