Burglers loot Rs 50 lakh worth jewels from co-op bank
Mandya, Nov 14 (UNI) Burglars made away with gold ornaments worth about Rs 50 lakhs from Karnataka State Industrial Cooperative Bank's branch in this town today.
Police said the burglars gained entry into the bank in the early hours by cutting the window grill. Except gold, the outlaws could not touch the cash in the Safe. They carried their act after policemen on night beat had punched the e-card instrument installed infront of the bank.
Sniffer dogs followed scent of the miscreants till railway station. Forensic experts inspected the bank premises.
