New Delhi, Nov 14 (UNI) The BJP Parliamentary Board, the apex decision-making body of the party, today reviewed the party's preparedness for electoral battles in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

The three-hour meeting presided over by Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani, also took stock of the Karnataka development where the party made its first government on Monday.

Addressing newspersons, senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu said the meeting confined its deliberations on election preparedness in the two states .

However, according to political observers, the meeting was dominated by dissident activities in Rajasthan where a big section had been at logger-head with Chief Minister Vasundara Raje for quite some time.

However, BJP General Secretary Ananth Kumar maintained that the meeting discussed only poll matters and not issues concerning Rajasthan. The presence of Mr Gopinath Munde, who is not member of the Parliamentary Board has given rise to the speculation that Rajasthan could be one of the main issues deliberated in the meeting.

The meeting, among others, was atteded by all the general secretaries, and senior leaders like Mr Naidu and Mr Jaswant Singh.
