been
awarded
the
State
Department's
'Sue
M
Cobb
award
for
Exemplary
Diplomatic
Service'
for
tireless
and
successful
work
for
fostering
Indo-US
ties.
The
award
was
presented
to
him
at
a
ceremony
in
Washington
by
Secretary
of
State
Condoleezza
Rice,
the
US
embassy
here
said
in
a
release
today.
''Under your leadership we have seen the partnership between United states and India strengthen and expand on a range of global issues.'' President George Bush said in a special letter to Mr Mulford.
The Sue M Cobb award, in the name of former US Ambassador to Jamaica, is presented to a non-career Ambassador who has used private sector leadership and management skills to make a significant impact in carrrying out US Foreign Policy through pro-active diplomacy.
