Samsung Elec raises Q4 handset sales target-resport
SEOUL, Nov 13 (Reuters) Samsung Electronics Co Ltd , the world's No.2 handset maker, lifted its fourth quarter mobile phone sales target to 50 million units from the previous 45 million, a local newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The Korea Economic Daily said in its early Wednesday edition Samsung targeted a 20 percent share next year in the global mobile phone market.
The paper also quoted an unnamed official as saying Samsung raised its target for this year's mobile phone market share to 14.5 percent from the previous 11.4 percent.
A Samsung spokeswoman could not immediately confirm the report.
