ATHENS, Nov 13 (Reuters) Panathinaikos striker Vangelis Mantzios has been added to the Greece squad for their remaining Euro 2008 qualifiers against Malta and Hungary.
German coach Otto Rehhagel originally named a 21-player squad, leaving out experienced striker Angelos Charisteas, but added the 24-year-old Mantzios today.
The striker made his debut against Georgia in a World Cup qualifier just over two years ago and won the last of his six caps in a friendly against South Korea in February.
Greece, who have already qualified for next year's finals in Austria and Switzerland, host Malta on Saturday before playing in Hungary the following tomorrow.
