ISLAMABAD, Nov 13 (Reuters) OPEC will consider oil market fundamentals at its next policy meeting in Abu Dhabi in December before making a decision on output levels, OPEC president and UAE Oil Minister Mohammed bin Dhaen al-Hamli said on Tuesday.
''We have to look at the market fundamentals and we will take a decision accordingly,'' al-Hamli, also oil minister of the United Arab Emirates, said in the Pakistani capital, referring to next month's meeting.
Saudi Oil Minister Ali al-Naimi said on Sunday that OPEC would discuss an increase in production when it meets, although he clarified in an interview published on Tuesday that the group would not discuss short-term measures or production policy during the heads of state summit in Riyadh on Nov.
OPEC's next policy meeting is set for Dec. 5 in Abu Dhabi.
