Construction EXPO to begin tomorrow
Bangalore, Nov 13 (UNI) The Mecca for Indian construction industry, the EXCON 2007 will commence at the Bangalore International Exhibition Center here tomorrow showcasing some of the latest construction and mining machinery to cater to the fast growing infrastructure sector in the country.
With the industry witnessing a 25 per cent growth over the last three years attracting a number of global players, the latest edition of EXCON organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry had attracted more than 56 global participants from over 16 countries, including five countries--China, South Korea, Germany, Italy and the UK which have separate pavilions.
Briefing newsmen EXCON Chairman Vipin Sondhi said that the country had great potential to become the global sourcing hub for construction equipment, components and construction related knowledge based activities.
The five day event would be spread across 110,000 sq meters, almost double when compared to the previous edition, he added.
As part of the event an international conference on construction equipment industry on present scenario and challenges head would be held. A CEO panel on construction equipment industry as a facilitator to India's infrastructure Growth-challenges and opportunities for the next decade would also be held.
As part of the event a CII-Mckinsey study on construction equipment Industry --ECE vision 2015, scaling new heights in Indian Earth Moving and Construction Equipment Industry will be released tomorrow.
