Sriganganager, Nov 13 (UNI) The district administration has denied permission to Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh for holding a religious congregation 'Satsang' in Budharwali village in this district on November 18.

District Collector Bhawani Singh Detha said the decision to deny the permission was taken in view of possibility of clash between the Dera followers and Panthic Sikhs.

Mr Detha said two senior police officials were sent to Dera headquarters in Hisar town of neighbouring state Haryana to convey the Dera functionaries of the administration's decision and to advise them to put off the congregation 'Satsang'.

Meanwhile, Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh today arrived in his native village-Gurusar Modiya in this district for a three day sojourn. Precautionary security arrangments have been made for his visit.
