AP CM opposes separate Telangana State: Congress
Hyderabad, Nov 13 (UNI) Senior Congress leader M Satyanarayana Rao today reiterated his charge that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was opposed to the formation of separate Telagnana State.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Rao maintained that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had told him that the Centre had no objection to the formation of seperate Telangana state. But, Dr Reddy was against it, he alleged.
The Telangana sentiment was very much there, he said asserting that 'I am talking only facts'. He referred to the lanslide victory scored by the Telangana Rastra Samithi President and former Union Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao in the Karimnagar Lok Sabha byelection.
It may be recalled that Mr Rao had spoken against CWC member and state in charge of the Congess affairs Veerappa Moily reported statement that the party high command was contemplating Constitution of the second States' Reorgnisation Commission (SRC) to decide on the Telangana issue.
