TTD to set up spinal rehabilitation centre

Tirumala, Nov 12(UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) today decided to set up a spinal rehabilitation centre in its BIRRD Hospital.

Briefing the TTD Board decisions to reporters here, its Chairman B Karunakara Reddy said a dialysis machine would be purchased.

About security of the temple, he said 150 security guards would be recruited and luggage scanner installed at a cost of Rs 60 lakh.

The TTD would start Bhakthi Chaitanya Yatra (Chaturyuga Bhandham) on December 21 at Aliperi to propagate hindu dharma and human values.

Garuda Vahanam procession would be arranged on Garuda Panchami and Pedda Sesha Vahanam procession on Nagula Chavithi, he added.

Mr Reddy said first-aid centres would be set up at Kalyana Katta, Pilgrims Amenities Complex and at Mahadwaram at a cost of Rs 2 crore.
