Haryana to spend Rs 94 cr on 15 minors

Chandigarh, Nov 12 (UNI) The Haryana government will spend an amount of Rs 94.15 crore for construction of 15 minors under Bhakra Canal System.

Stating this, Haryana Irrigation Minister Ajay Singh Yadav today said nine minors had already been completed at a cost of Rs 56.98 crore during the last 32 months of the Hooda government in the state.

The government, he said, had also accorded approval for construction of Shimla Minor on Sirsa Parallel Distributory.

He said with the construction of this minor, the farmers of village Shimla and Pinjpura would get benefit and their 1384 acres of land would be irrigated.

Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said the work on Shergarh, Guna link channel, Dhanheri, Kheri Sher Khan, Dewara, Modakhera, Bhudana, Chattar, Nainakotra, Kheri Sheoran minors was on and the capacity of Barsola minor was also being increased.
