Former RJD MLA arrested in forgery case

Betiah, Nov 12 (UNI) Police today arrested Ranvijay Shahi, former RJD MLA from Lauria Assembly constituency in West Champaran district, in connection with a cheating and forgery case.

Mr Shahi was arrested from Shikarpur police station area in the district and produced in the court of SDJM Umashankar Dwivedi, who ordered to send him to judicial custody.

According to the charges, Mr Shahi had illegally purchased and sold lands in the name of his son following which an FIR was lodged against him. Subsequently, the court had issued arrest warrant against him.
