Chhatarpur, MP, Nov 12 (UNI) The number of diarrhoea-affected people has risen to 66 in this district due to consumption of food prepared using adulterated oil, police said.

Twenty-four people fell ill at Bijawar tahsil's Ragauli village yesterday and six at the local Tauriya area while 36, including 20 children, suffered diarrhoea on Diwali night at Naugaon town's Bajrang Colony.

Tauriya-resident Faiyyaz purchased oil from a shop at Kishori Kothi. Six members of his family were subsequently admitted to the District Hospital. The Bijawar victims were undergoing treatment at the Primary Health Centre there.
