TRS demands Govt to take over sugar factories

Hyderabad, Nov 11 (UNI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao today demanded that the state government take over three sugar factories, which were sold to private companies during the previous TDP government.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Rao alleged that the Congress-led state government had failed to take over the sugar factories, even after the Cabinet House Committee recommended its take over two years ago.

He alleged that the Congress ministers from the Telangana region were neglecting the issue.

Charging the Congress government with privatising higher and primary education in the state, Mr Rao said the TRS would organise a workshop on the privatisation issue in association with the Telangana Rashtra Teachers Union (TRTU) at the party head office on November 16.
