Kanpur, Nov 11 (UNI) India's Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly crossed a milestone for the highest number of fifty plus ODI partnerships for the first wicket during the third one-dayer against Pakistan at Green Park here today.
They have so far been involved in 44 fifty plus stands from 135 innings, surpassing Australian duo of Matthew Hayden and Adam Gilchrist's 43 from 105 innings.
The Indian duo, the most successful openers in ODI history, have scored 6598 runs with 21 hundred plus partnerships and 23 fifty plus innings as compared to 5145 runs by Hayden and Gilchrist.
