Punjab to build complexes on vacnt police land

Moga, Nov 11 (UNI) Punjab government has decided to set up commercial complexes on unutilised and vacant sites belonging to Punjab Police Department.

These complexes would be sold and the money thus generated would be utilised on various police welfare schemes, according to police sources here.

According to sources, Suresh Arora, Inspector General, Police HQ, in a communication addressed to all the IG's local and DIG's police ranges, directed them to identitfy these unutilised plots of land attached to police department in the districts of their respective jurisdiction within a month so that required information could be provided to the state government.

According to information, maxmimum number of such unutilised sites were lying in Jalandhar district.
