Lalu announces agro outlets at all railway stations
Farrukhabad, Nov 11 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today announced setting up of agro outlets at all railway station across the country.
Mr Prasad was in the city to inaugurate the newly-constructed Rs 165 crore broadguage line on the Eastern Railways' Farrukhabad-Kayamganj section.
''The advertising of the agro outlets would be done by the Railways. Thousands of youth would be trained and employed in these outlets,'' the former Bihar Chief Minister told newspersons.
Mr prasad said the guage conversion work at the Kaasganj-Mathura railway section would be completed by March 2008 after which, people of Farrukhabad and neighbouring areas would get the facility of long distance trains.
''In the current financial year, Railways kickstarted 44 projects, including the railway coach factory at Rae Bareli, worth Rs 9,000 crore,'' he informed.
