Cauveri dispute could be solved under new Govt in K'taka: BJP
Karur, Nov 11 (UNI) Chances for findin an amicable for amicably solving solution to the vexed Cauvery Water dispute were bright in the wake of the formation of the new BJP-led government in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu BJP President L Gasesan said.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mr Ganesan opined that the so called 'political third front' would not be viable.
He said Tamil Nadu unit of the party would organise a State-wide agitation on November 13 to demand setting of MSP of paddy to Rs 1,500 per quintal.
He also criticised the Tamil Nadu Government's move to form a new district with the head quarters at Ariyalur and said the proposed Ariyalur district would have only three Assembly constituencies.
He alleged that Tamil Nadu Government had taken this decision under pressure from PMK leader Dr Ramadoss.
