Nandigram simmers with sporadic violence

The
West
Bengal
government
in
eastern
India
today
announced
compensation
for
victims
killed
in
March
14,
2007,
police
firing
even
as
Nandigram
simmers
with
sporadic
violence
between
the
supporters
of
Bhoomi
Uchched
Pratiroh
Committee
or
land
saving
committee
and
the
ruling
CPIM
supporters.
The announcement comes a day after there were reports of fresh clashes in India's eastern West Bengal state.
