Draft Committee discussed AICC resolutions
New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) A meeting of the committee to draft the resolutions to be taken up at the November 17 session of the All India Congress Committee was held today with AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi taking an active part.
The committee, chaired by External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, today discussed the four resolutions being considered by the one-day session at the Talkatora stadium here.
The meeting was attended by Defence Minister A K Antony, Congress President Sonia Gandhi's Political Secretary Ahmed Patel, Working Committee members Janardhan Dwivedi , Veerappa Moily, Digvijay Singh, Oscar Fernandes and Prithviraj Chavan and Union Minister Jairam Ramesh.
The meeting discussed the four resolutions, including the "omninus" resolution on political, economic and international issues, at the meeting held at the Congress headquaters at the 24 Akbar Road.
The meeting also discussed the other resolutions on 150th anniversary of the First War of Independence, 60th Anniversary of India's Independence and the Centenary of Mahatma Gandhi's Satyagraha.
The resolutions will be finalised at the next meeting of the committee to be held on Wednesday or Thursday.
The resolutions would be moved and adopted at the AICC session.
