By Staff

Mohali, Nov 9 (UNI) India and Pakistan teams have been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during the second ODI at Mohali yesterday, an ICC statement said.

ICC match referee Roshan Mahanama imposed the fines after both the teams were ruled to be one over short of their targets when time allowances were taken into consideration.

In accordance with the ICC Code of Conduct regulations governing over-rate penalties, players are fined five per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, with the captain fined double that amount.

As per the rule, India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his Pakistani counterpart Shoaib Malik have been fined 10 per cent of their match fee, while other members of both the team have each received five per cent fines.
