Diwali celebrated with religious fervour in J'khand
Ranchi, Nov 9 (UNI) Diwali, the festival of lights, is being celebrated in Jharkhand with religious fervour and enthusiasm.
Governor Syed Sibtey Razi and Chief Minister Madhu Koda wished the people on the occasion and urged all to maintain communal harmony in the state.
Earlier, the Chief Mininster called on the Governor to exchange Diwali greetings.
Opposition leader Arjun Munda also extended Diwali greetings to the people and hoped the festival would usher in more prosperity to the state.
In the state capital, several pandals were erected to perform Kali puja.
Special pujas were performed in the temples, specially the Goddess Kali.
So far no untward incident had been reported from any part of the state.
