Vijayawada, Nov 9 (UNI) Vijayawada MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishna today said he would not withdraw his resignation letter sent to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on November 7 at Hyderabad.

Mr Radhakrishna had announced his resignation in protest against the state government's decision to regularise the land worth Rs 120 crore to Kankipadu legislator Devineni Rajasekhar at the posh Banjara Hills area in the state's capital city of Hyderabad.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the resignation letter was sent to Dr Reddy, instead of being submitting to the Assembly Speaker Suresh Reddy.

Mr Radhakrishna demanded that the state government should immediately take back the land from Mr Rajasekhar and added the Congress corporators in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) owing allegience to him were prepared to tender their resignation.

He alleged that the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had shown the door to Mr Rajasekhar, vexed with his behaviour while he was in the party.

''I should know the minister's name who allotted the land to Mr Rajasekhar and his followers and registered at a cost of Rs Nine crore.

Mr Radhakrishna said the revenue officials had not been responding to his plea being made for the last three and a half years, for distributing patta lands to the poor people in the city and demanded that this be done without wasting any more time.
