Student opens fire on another on Jamia University campus
New Delhi, Nov 8(UNI) A student opened fire on another following an altercation on the Jamia University campus.
Arish fired at Iran with a home-made pistol when a verbal duel broke out between the two during a cultural fest yesterday.
Iran escaped as he ducked and the bullet got lodged in a wall instead. Soon after the firing, Iran escaped from the campus, police said.
Iran said though the bullet missed him the thrashing left him injured.
Later, Iran lodged an FIR under sections 34 and 307 sections of the IPC at the New Friends Colony police station, alleging that he was first thrashed by four to five boys and later Arish shot at him.
