Nickel, tin, copper

Mumbai, Nov 8 (UNI) Prices of key metals like nickel, copper heavy, tin slab and brass cuttings in ferrous and non ferrous metals drifted lower on increase of selling pressure by stockists in view of bearish advice from London Metal Exchange (LME) along with Kolkata, Delhi and Indore centres, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.

In the ferrous category (per quintal), Copper heavy, copper utensils and Brass cuttings declined by Rs 500, Rs 300 and Rs 200 respectively on thin industrial users demand induced by discouraging advice from LME along with Kolkata, Delhi and other centres.

In the non-ferrous segment (per quintal), Copper wire bars also dropped by Rs 600 on lack of fresh demand from big dealers. Tin slab and Nnckel cathode also eased by Rs five and Rs 25 per kg respectively in line with copper.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals - Copper heavy: Rs 34,700, Copper utensils: Rs 31,800, Brass utensils: Rs 25,300, Brass cuttings: Rs 26,400 and Aluminium utensils: Rs 10,800.

Non-ferrous metals - Copper wire bars: Rs 37,800, Aluminium ingots: Rs 12,400, Zinc slab: Rs 15,500, Lead ingots: Rs 14,000, Tin slab: Rs 805 per kg and Nickel cathode: Rs 1,525 per kg.
