WCR GM inaugurates route relay interlocking in MP
Bina, MP, Nov 7 (UNI) West Central Railway General Manager Maheep Kapur today inaugurated a route relay interlocking system at the railway station here.
''The system will save both labour and time besides reducing the margin of human error,'' he said and announced a group award of Rs 1 lakh for employees who put the system in place ahead of deadline.
Route relay interlocking is a system of interlocking, comprising electrical relays, often used in large and busy stations that have to handle high volumes of train movement.
In this, an entire route through a station can be selected and all the associated points and signals along the route can be set at once by a switch for receiving, holding, blocking or dispatching trains.
