Thieves take away gold and foreign currency from NRI's house

Phagwara, Nov 7 (UNI) Burglers broke into an NRI's house in nearby village NangalKherra last night and took away gold ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakh and foreign currency worth Rs Two lakh besides other domestic goods, police today said.

According to police, the thieves broke into the house of NRI Sukhwinder Singh when his wife Baljit Kaur had gone to her parental house in village Aurr in Nawanshahar district to see her ailing mother.

She found the house burgled after coming back today.

Police has registered a case, but no arrest has been made so far.
