Hyderabad, Nov 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy today alleged that the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was politicising the 'political and factional murders' in which the TDP and Congress workers and leaders were killed in the State.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Reddy said during the Congress and TDP regimes, more Congress workers were killed than TDP activists. About 132 TDP workers were killed in 1990 to 1995, while the total number of Congress workers killed were 192.

The Minister alleged that during the TDP regime from 1996 to mid-2004, 443 Congress workers were killed as against 421 TDP activists.

Stating that political murders were not being encouraged by any political party during its rule in the state, he said 707 Congress and 658 TDP workers were killed from 1990 to 2007 in the State.
