History-sheeter arrested

Tirupati, Nov 7 (UNI) Police arrested a history-sheeter and recovered Rs 20 lakh worth gold ornaments from him at Tiruchanoor near here today.

Chittoor District Superintendent of Police Sashidhar Reddy told newspersons that Murugan alias Ram, hailing from Vellore district of Tamil Nadu, was arrested by a police team led by Tirupati Circle Inspector P Abhishekam.

Apart from 2,250 gm of gold ornaments, two two-wheelers were also seized from him, he added.
