First Business Process Council World Conference in Mumbai

Hyderabad, Nov 7 (UNI) The newly-formed Business Process Council (BPC) today announced that the country will host the 2007 BPC World Conference from November 30 in Mumbai.

Announcing this here, Knowerx Education (India) Pvt Ltd Chairman and Chief Mentor Ravindra Tulsyan said the conference, with the theme ''Driving Excellence through Best Practices'', would draw professionals in Operations Management and Logistics from the country and all over the world.

The programme would be packed with lectures and case studies by eminent speakers on topics such as Supply Chain Management, ERP Systems and Logistics, impacting the functional domains of sales and marketing, manufacturing, purchasing, finance and information technology, he said.

The conference would be held in association with various world organisations in the field of Operations Management. These include The Association for Operations Management (API and S), American Society of Transportation and Logistics (AST and L), Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCM), Supply-Chain Council (of SCOR model fame); India's National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) and the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MACCIA).

Chiefs of all associate organisations were expected to grace the conference, with APICS Chairman Joseph F Shedlawski consenting to be the keynote speaker.

The BPC is a non-profit organisation formed by professionals from all walks of industry, information technology and academics to promote the adoption of Best Practices in processes in industry.
