Srinagar, Nov 7 (UNI) Tons by Gaurav Kochar and Chander Thapa helped Delhi pile up a mammoth score of 433 runs in their first innings against Jammu and Kashmir today on the second day of under-15 match in Poly Umrigar national cricket tournament being played here.
The visitors declared at 433 for seven wickets, thus taking a vital first innings lead of 301 runs on a flat pitch at the Sher-i-Kashmir cricket stadium here.
Resuming from their overnight score of 86 for one wicket, Delhi batsmen plundered the home team bowlers all over the ground, scoring at will on the penultimate day of the three-day match.
For the visitors, Kochar was the highest scorer with 109 runs followed by Thapa at 102 runs in only 84 balls and Prashant Bhandari with 63 runs. For Jammu and Kashmir, skipper Aamir Ashraf claimed two wickets.
In their second innings, the hosts lost their first wicket with the scorecard reading at zero.
However, the match was later stopped due to bad light.
