Arvind Bhat wins the Jordan Open Satellite title

Bangalore, Nov 7 (UNI) Ace shuttler Arvind Bhat continued his successful return to top flight Badminton by winning the Jordan Open Badminton Tournament at Amman, yesterday.

This is Arvind's fourth success in the circuit this year.

Arvind was on a come back trail after missing out on a year of International badminton due to a serious ankle injury. This success is likely to catapult Arvind into the top 60 in the World Ranking.

He was ranked number 39 when he sustained the ankle injury last year.

In the quarterfinals Arvind trounced fourth seed Alexandre Paxaoi of Portugal 21-17, 21-16 and top seed Pablo Abian (Spain) 21-7, 21-19 in the semis to march into the title round. In the Final beat former England No.1 Amir Ghaffar 21-18, 21-14.

Arvind will now return to Munich to complete his league commitments in Germany.

His next tournament would be the Norway Open in Oslo, starting on November 14.
