Action plan to construct Dhobi Ghats: Minister

Hyderabad, Nov 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Minister M Mukesh Goud today said there was an 'action plan' to construct Dhobi Ghats and the proposals for sanction of Dhobi Ghats recieved from the district were being considered based on the seniority and availability of funds.

Replying to a question B Chengal Rayadu in the Legislative Council, he said State Washermen Co-operative Societies Federation was constructing Dhobi Ghats in the state.

He said there were 332 proposals pending for the construction of Dhobi Ghats and the government was also releasing Rs 50 lakh every year for taking up the construction of Dhobi Ghats.

He said the policy of sanction of Dhobi Ghats was decided in the Managing Committee meeting of the Federation.
