3 killed, 24 injured as bus rams into tree
Lakhimpur Kheri, Nov 7 (UNI) At least three people were killed and 24 others severely injured after a speeding private bus, in which they were travelling, dashed against a roadside tree and turned turtle here this evening.
The ill-fated bus, on way to Lakhimpur Kheri, rammed into a roadside tree and overturned on Bhira road near village Daudpur, killing three people on the spot.
The injured were admitted to the district hospital, where their condition was stated critical, police said.
While two deceased were identified as assistant development officer Prem Narayan and Sulkhan Singh, efforts were underway to indetify the other.
