PDP demands repositioning of Army cantonment in Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 6 (UNI) Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti today strongly demanded repositioning of track that connects various villages via Devsar Army cantonment in south Kashmir.
During her tour to Noorabad constituency in Anantnag district, the people of the area appraised the PDP president of difficulties faced by them, while travelling on this route.
Ms Mufti reviewed several ongoing development works at Devsar and its adjoining areas, including Namar, Akhal, Malwan, Brinel Lamad, Shuhama, Dardgund and other villages.
The villagers pleaded that either the route via the Devsar Army Cantonment be repositioned or an alternative be provided. The people complained to Ms Mufti that travelling via the route, which runs through Army cantonment, has become a constant source of inconvenience for them.
While assuring every possible help to people, the PDP chief stressed on the government to change this route or provide an alternative to the people as soon as possible so that their genuine demand was fulfilled immediately.
