Sydney, Nov 6 (UNI) As a desperate measure to infuse confidence in the new look Australian side, coach Tim Nielsen has hired the services of a former military officer to inspire and motivate his players before their first Test against Sri Lanka on Thursday.
Ray McLean, who served for five years as a training cum leadership officer in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), met Australian cricketers and coaching staff yesterday during the team's practice session at Brisbane.
McLean has previously worked as a motivational expert with rugby teams in both NRL and AFL leagues.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the motivational guru will work with the Aussie cricketers for the rest of the week, although he himself refused to shed light on the specifics of his association with the World Champions.
