Maudhany discharged in seven cases
Kochi, Nov 6 (UNI) A local court here discharged People's Democratic Party Leader Abdul Nasser Maudhany in seven out of 21 cases pending against him in the court.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ernakulam, Cheriyan Kuriakose observed that Maudhany could be prosecuted in the seven cases only after getting sanction from the Government. He said sanction was not given in these cases and so the court discharged him.
He was accused in 21 cases, the offences which had taken place at various places in Kerala. On a direction from the Kerala High Court, all the cases were transferred to the Ernakulam Court.
