Maiden album of Idol released by Chief Minister
Gangtok, Nov 6 (UNI) The maiden album of the Indian Idol III winner Prashant Tamang was released yesterday night by the Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling during a felicitation-cum-live performance here at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok.
The album, appropriately titled 'Dhanyabad' (Thank You) is a bilingual album with four songs in Nepali and rest in Hindi.
Thousands of fans had filled up the stadium to witness the occasion. Tamang is the new sensation here in the hills.
Even a steady drizzle and sharp chill could not deter the fans who swayed to the songs belted out by the Idol accompanied by another Idol finalist Charu Sebiwal.
The songs sung by the duo were already on the lips of every fan as the songs had been sung by them during the Idol contest.
Acknowledging the support from Sikkim, Tamang told the rapturous crowds that Sikkim had given him confidence to become the Idol.
Chief Minster Chamling wished Tamang success in his future endeavors.
Tamang will be touring other parts of Sikkim today as a part of his thanksgiving tour of the state.
