Kiss for bet sparks agitation

Hisar Nov 6 (UNI) Hundreds of angry college girls here came on the roads and blocked traffic to protest the bravado of a drunk male student, who entered the local Dayanand College hostel and kissed a girl student to win a Rs 100 bet with a friend.

It is reported that the girl was on her way to her hostel when Kulbir came running and smooched her, leaving her shell-shocked.

The final year student, Kulbir, has been suspended from the college and police has registered a case under section 294 against him, Dr Rajesh Kumar Tomar, Principal of the college said.

However, the girls blocked traffic in the middle of the city and staged a dharna demanding arrest of the accused and his associates.

SHO Pratap Singh assured the girls that police would soon nab Kulbir and his two friends who were with him at the time of the incident.

The girls insisted that police allow them to thrash the accused with shoes, when caught.

Principal Dr R K Tomar also pacified the agitating girls and assured them that the accused would be put behind the bars soon.
