Karnataka Governor submits his 'final report with recommendations'

New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur today said he had submitted his 'final report' on the issue of revival of Karnataka Assembly with his recommendations and it was for the government to act upon it.

Talking to newspersons here after his meeting with President Pratibha Patil, the Governor did not agree with the BJP's accusations of inordinatate delay on his part in submission of his report. He said he had consulted two former Chief Justices of India including one from Karnataka for a detailed constitutional aspects and hence it took a little longer time.

Although the he did not reveal the contents of his report, he is believed to have submitted a status report in the state along with his recommendations. Earlier in the morning he had met Home Minister Shivraj Patil for one hour to apprise him of the lastest situation ahead of the MLAs meeting with President Pratibha Patil at 1800 hours.
