Inspector held on corruption charges

Vadodara, Nov 6 (UNI) A police inspector of Padra police station was arrested today on corruption charges.

S R Gohil has been arrested for allegedly selling relief materials sent after the June floods in Padra. He also allegedly cut a ''limda'' tree within the police station and selling it off to a timber mart.

Of the relief material sent, Gohil allegedly diverted 35 of the 70 galvanised sheets. He also allegedly took away 30 boxes of tiles for personal use, and sold four bags of sugar and three tea bags each weighing 10 kg.
