India favours democratisation process to begin in Pakistan
New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said India is closely watching the situation in Pakistan and hoped that the process of democratisation will begin in the Islamic nation soon.
''We are watching the situation in Pakistan and hope that people of Pakistan will get an opportunity to have their government as per their Constitution,'' he told reporters on the sidelines of the India-Africa Hydrocarbon Conference here.
The Minister said New Delhi wanted ''peace, prosperity and stability'' in Pakistan.
