Hyderabad, Nov 6 (UNI) India bagged a gold and a bronze medal on the second day of the Asian Junior Judo Championships being held at SAAP Indoor stadium at Gachibowli here today.
Chowdary Giriamma provided the much needed relief to the Indian organisers winning the gold in the girls 63 kg category defeating a Japanese Judoka, while Hardeep Singh won the bronze in the boys 60 kg category.
But the day's honours went to Japan, with their team winning three golds out of eight, while Korea placed second winning two gold and Iran and Uzbekisthan winning one each.
Results: Men 55 kg: Gold : Japan, Silver : Korea, Bronze : Kazakasthan.
Men 60 kg: Gold : Iran, Silver: Mangolia, Bronze: India (Hardeep Singh).
Men 66 KG: Gold : Japan, Silver: Mangolia, Bronze: Uzbekisthan.
Men 73 kg: Gold: Korea, Silver: Japan, Bronze: Kazakasthan.
Girls 63kg: Gold: India (Chowdary Giriamma), Silver: Japan, Bronze: Uzbekisthan.
Girls 70 kg : Gold: Japan, Silver: Taiwan, Bronze: Kazakasthan.
Girls 78 kg: Gold : Korea, Silver: Japan, Bronze: Kazakasthan.
Girls 78+ kg: Gold: Uzbekisthan, Silver: Japan, Bronze : India (kalimutti Devisri).
