Sonepat, Nov 6 (UNI) Police today claimed to have arrested four of the five alleged accused in the murder of a man over land dispute on October 30 and have also recovered the sharp edged weapons used by them while committing crime.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police, Navdeep Singh Virk, the arrested accused Rajinder and Rajbir of Aterna Ved Parkash of Mawana in Uttar Pradesh and Shakuntala Devi also of Aterna were produced in the court last evening and were remanded in Judicial custody.
Fifth alleged accused Sanjay was still absconding and the police parties have been sent to nab him, the SSP said.
On October 30, agricultural labourer Dhanraj Chauhan of village Manoli had gone to village Aterna to plough the fields of Om Prakash and due to land dispute between field owner Om Prakash and his sons who allegedly attacked Dhanraj and Om Prakash with sharp edged weapons.
In that attack, Dhanraj died on the spot and Om Prakash was injured seriously.
