Puri, Nov 6 (UNI) The Returning Officer for the 2004 Assembly Elections in Orissa today filed an election-related complaint case against the then Biju Janata Dal candidate Sanjay Kumar Dasberma for suppressing facts in the affidavit filed by him with the nomination papers.

The case was filed in the court of sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate here after a prima-facie case was established on the suppression of the fact.

Dasberma, presently the Chairman of the state-run Orissa State Housing Board, unsuccessfully contested the 57 Brahmagiri Assembly constituency, losing the seat to Congress candidate Lalatendu Bidyadhar Moahapatra.

Congress activist block president Pramod Kumar Pradhan had filed a complaint with the commissioner that Dasberma in his affidavit had concealed details of his involvement in the Nilachal builders Private Limited company.

He alleged that at the time of filing of the nomination papers, Dasbema was the Managing Director of the company, but he did not disclose it in thenomination paper.

The Commission, after a thorough probe, found prima facie of the allegation and instructed Sub-Collector P K Sarangi as well as the Returning Officer to file a complaint case against Dasberma in the SDJM court.
