Week-long Regional Horse Show begins today

Chandigarh, Nov 6: As many as 200 of the finest sports horses in the country participated in the the prestigious week-long regional Horse Show, which began here today at Punjab University Dusshera Ground.

The show, officially allotted to the city by the Equestrian Federation of India, is being conducted as per the rules and regulations laid down by Federation Equestre Internationale, and is supported by Chandigarh Administration.

During the show, in the Young Rider Jumping Normal event Darshan Singh riding on Gypsey came first, Jagdeep Singh on Dynamite came second, Nar Singh on Maharaja got the third place while Yogesh riding on Kavita came fourth.

In the EFI Category B, Uday Singh riding on Junior Majestic came first, Risaldar Gulab Singh on Vijay came second, head constable Dharampal riding on Kavita got the third place while Major Raj Sangram Singh on Maharathi came fourth.

In the Individual Tent Pegging, constable Krishan Kumar riding on Michael came first, ASI Karan Singh on Rimjhim came second, SI Jaswinder Singh on Raja together with Satwant Singh on Seabiscuit shared the third place.

In the Novise Jumping Fault and Out, head constable Lakhwinder riding on Archery stood first, head constable Dharampal riding on Kavita came second, Risaldar Gulab Singh on Vijay got the third place while Jyotika Hassan Walia riding on Warrior begged the fourth position.
