Tibetan groups urge Govt to honour Dalai Lama with Bharat Ratna
New Delhi, Nov 5 (UNI) The All Party Indian Parliamentary Forum for Tibet (APIPFT) and The Core Group For Tibetan Cause (CGFTC) have urged the Government to invite Tibetian spiritual leader the Dalai Lama to address a joint session of Parliament.
The CGFTC, in release here today, said promiment parliaments across the world like the European Parliament and the US Congress have bestowed honour on the Dalai Lama. The Indian Parliament should also do the same and the Government should honour him with ''Bharat Ratna'' as he attained this stature as a true son of India and representative of the country's values.
